On Thursday October 19, the Florida CCIM Chapter’s Central District offered its members a special class on Net Operating Income and why it is the most important number to investors. The class was organized by Central District’s Education Chairman, Ben Brenner, in an effort to raise money towards the Florida Chapter’s Puerto Rico relief fund. With 25 students in attendance, the Central District was able to raise over $700 towards relief efforts in Puerto Rico.
The class was taught by CCIM’s acclaimed instructor, Blaine Strickland, and received overwhelmingly positive feedback from students, both for the class material and for the cause the class helped support.
Said Central District’s Carol Tanner, “The event was brief, but power-packed with great information. I applaud the Central District for a great event as well as for your commitment to raising funds for our Puerto Rico CCIM Chapter members.”
Following the class was an exclusive round-table lunch with instructor Blaine Strickland. The lunch offered a unique opportunity for students to talk shop with one of Central Florida’s leading minds in the field of commercial real estate.
The first of its kind event, including lunch, was sponsored by Seacoast Bank’s Central Florida Commercial Real Estate Team. After seeing such encouraging feedback, Brenner reports that leadership is planning on offering similar courses again next year.
