Members of the Broward/Fort Lauderdale CCIM District provided and served dinner on November 11, Veteran’s Day, to the men, woman and children residing at the Broward Partnership for the Homeless shelter.
“This shelter is a model for the country and our tour of the facility made us realize how fragile many are and how fortunate we are,” explained Mark Dreyer, 2017 District President.
Dreyer shared that the facility has two dental suites, a clothing room, a barber/beauty shop that is serviced by volunteers; an exercise room, a teaching kitchen and so much more.
“Outside of the dental suites is what is called the Wall of Fame where before and after pictures of those residents so much in need of dental work are displayed. Both the before and after pictures brought tears to our eyes. At the end of the day, we all recognized that we were the beneficiaries of being able to serve this most vulnerable population,” he added.
In addition to the day of service, $500 donation was given by the Broward/Fort Lauderdale CCIM District to the Broward Partnership for the Homeless, Inc.
Hosted by Claudette Bruck, the event included Florida CCIM Broward/Fort Lauderdale District Members Mark Dreyer, Scott Brenner, Dean Roth, Chris Contich, Steve Chess, Brian Ahearn, and Sal Bonsignore.
