2025 Scholarship Awards: Shaping the Future of Commercial Real Estate in the West Coast District

In a significant boost to aspiring commercial real estate professionals, the CCIM West Coast District has awarded twelve scholarships totaling $14,000, marking the highest amount disbursed in the district’s history. This initiative underlines the district’s commitment to fostering talent and supporting educational endeavors within the commercial real estate sector. These scholarship awards can be applied to Core CCIM Causes anywhere the Courses are offered.

Scholarship Recipients Poised to Shape Industry Future

This year’s scholarship recipients represent a diverse group of individuals each demonstrating exceptional promise and dedication to the field of commercial real estate. Congratulations to; Amber Bennett, Alexandra Nawrocki, Carolina Conner, Corinna Gattasso, David Lapham, Jenny Spencer, Joshua Streitmatter, Justine Fite, Leah Pearson Roger, Maricruz Gutierrez Mejia, Matthew Spratley, and Zachary Ellis.

Among the notable contributions, Roger Broderick, CCIM of Broderick & Associates, Inc., endowment provided six scholarships, while Bill Eshenbaugh, CCIM of Eshenbaugh Land Company sponsored a scholarship for a standout student from the University of South Florida.

A Catalyst for Professional Development

Richard Harris, CCIM, President of the CCIM West Coast District, emphasized the strategic importance of the scholarships: “These scholarships are more than just financial assistance; they are crucial in helping ambitious professionals expand their commercial real estate knowledge and achieve the CCIM designation, which is recognized globally as a hallmark of competency and success in the commercial real estate industry.” The scholarship application process began on May 1, 2024, and concluded on September 30, 2024, for 2025 CCIM Core Courses. Applications for scholarships for 2026 CCIM Courses will reopen on May 1, 2025. The Scholarship Committee Chair, Jennifer Sotelo, CCIM, stated that selection criteria is based on a rigorous and transparent evaluation by a qualified board of CCIM West Coast District members to ensure that the awards went to the most deserving applicants. “Each year, the competition for these scholarships grows, reflecting the increasing quality and dedication of our members,” stated Sotelo.
