Updated: November 2024

As we begin the final two months of 2024, I’d like to reflect on the connections that join us all together as a member of the Florida Chapter. Whether you’ve been a member for years or recently joined, we all share a common motivation of belonging to an organization that provides the resources and networking opportunities which are beneficial for our success. Please spread awareness of our Membership Campaign- new members can join the Florida Chapter now through December 2025 for $200. Click here to join.

One of the many Chapter resources is the upcoming Legislative Pre-Session scheduled for November 14. Legislative Chair, Tony Veldkamp, CCIM, has invited a panel of experts from Florida REALTORS to provide updates on the Business Rent Tax Reduction and the CRE Insurance.

Chapter Officer Training was recently held in Miami, resulting in a well-prepared 2025 leadership team that has already begun planning innovative and forward-thinking programs on your behalf. The 2025 course schedule has been released and is available on the CCIM website. Eleven (11) Core Classes have been scheduled throughout the state, together with five (5) Foundation and six (6) Introduction to CRE classes. Well done Michael!

As we celebrate the season of gratitude, I’d like to acknowledge our Veterans for the service and contributions they’ve made to our country. I am also grateful for the successes we’ve had this year and our devoted members that have supported me and the 2024 Leadership Team.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Liz Menéndez, CCIM
2024 Florida CCIM Chapter President
