Florida CCIM Chapter Miami-Dade/Monroe District Scholarships

CHAPTER/DISTRICT SCHOLARSHIPS

These scholarships are awarded from the Chapter and the Districts to active Florida CCIM Chapter members pursuing the CCIM designation who demonstrate commitment and professionalism in the commercial real estate industry. These scholarships provide full tuition for one CCIM Core Course.

DISTRICT SCHOLARSHIPS

These scholarships are awarded from the Districts to active Florida CCIM Chapter members who demonstrate commitment and professionalism in the commercial real estate industry. These scholarships provide tuition towards a variety of courses such as: Course Courses, Ward Courses, STDB Courses and others.

NATIONAL ENDOWMENT SCHOLARSHIPS

These scholarships are awarded to active Florida CCIM Chapter members pursuing the CCIM designation who demonstrate commitment and professionalism in the commercial real estate industry. These scholarships are valued at $1,000 for use toward one CCIM Core Course.

Robert L. Ward CCIM Scholarship
Established: 12/22/2004

NOTE: This scholarship is open to all Florida CCIM Chapter applicants!

Bob Ward, CCIM, of Orlando, Florida, became a CCIM instructor in 1972 and has been an invaluable asset to the Institute though his many contributions to its education program. The Institute’s non-designation education program was created in 2007 and, honoring Bob’s dedication and overall hard work with the education department, was named The Robert L. Ward Center for Real Estate Studies. Bob is also a past president of CCIM Institute.

Cynthia Shelton CCIM Scholarship
Established: 04/03/2017

NOTE: This scholarship is open to all Florida CCIM Chapter applicants!

The Cynthia Shelton Scholarship was established by the Florida CCIM State Chapter & all of it’s Districts. It was named after Cynthia Shelton, CCIM whom is dedicated to the CCIM Designation and has served as it’s State Chapter President in 1996 and as the CCIM International President in 2002. Cynthia is a member of the CCIM Faculty and teaches CCIM 101 & 103. This scholarship is designed to be awarded for the CCIM 103 User Decision Analysis course because Cynthia believes this course helped drive her successful career of over 40 years. She said by understanding the tenant/Landlord/lease and alternatives to leasing and owning made her better at putting deals together for herself & her clients. She loves teaching and mentoring others in the industry.

Cynthia Shelton, CCIM, CRE is Senior Managing Director of Capital Markets at Landqwest Commercial and has extensive experience in the real estate industry since 1975. In 2015, Cynthia received the distinguished National Association of Realtors Distinguished Service Award recognizing her over 40 years of contribution and service to the industry.

CI 103 Course

Below is the special criteria for the Cynthia Shelton Scholarship:

• Must be a Florida chapter member
• Must have been in the real estate business 5 years or less
• May only be used for the CI 103 course.

Paul White CCIM Scholarship
Established: 12/04/2014

NOTE: This scholarship is open to Florida CCIM Miami-Dade/Monroe District applicants only!

Paul White, CCIM, CPM, CSM, RPA, of Miami, Florida, is a graduate of Georgia Tech with over 40 years experience in the real estate industry. He is currently the Managing Director of KW Commercial in Miami-Dade County, leading their commercial real estate brokerage operations, and also President of Paul L. White & Associates, a commercial real estate consulting company providing training and expert services to property owners, insurance companies and legal professionals. Paul has served two terms as President of the Miami CCIM District, and was President of the Florida CCIM Chapter in 2010.

CCIM Core Course (preferably CI 101)

This $1,000 scholarship is available to current members in good standing of the Florida CCIM Chapter and shall be used toward any CCIM core course.

$500

Scholarship Used Toward:
Frequently awarded to Florida International Students in the Master of Science in International Real Estate Program. Students can waive CI 101, 102, & CI 104. CI 103 is needed to earn the CCIM Designation.
